What's in the box This package contains the Acer Aspire One AO751h-1885 notebook PC, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, AC adapter, and operating instructions It also comes with the following software: McAfee Internet Security Suite (trial version); Google Desktop; Carbonite Online Backup; Customized Windows Internet Explorer 7.0 ; Acer GridVista Learn More The 11.6-inch LED-backlit display (1366 x 768 pixels) presents true 16:9 aspect ratio with high-def resolution and fast 8ms (millisecond) response time for high-quality media playback as well as increased readability in low-light conditions. And the LED backlight technology is 33 percent more energy efficient than standard CCFL LCD screens. Newly designed from the ground up, the Intel Atom Z520 uses a 45nm (nanometer) design structure with new hafnium-infused circuitry--which reduces electrical current leakage in transistors--to conserve even more energy and give you more time away from the wall outlet. The Intel Atom Z520 provides a 1.3 GHz CPU speed with a 533 MHz front-side bus (FSB) and 512 KB L2 cache--which uses just 2 watts of power. (An L2, or secondary, cache temporarily stores data; and a larger L2 cache can help speed up your system's performance. The FSB carries data between the CPU and RAM, and a faster front-side bus will deliver better overall performance.) It supports Intel's 64-bit computing architecture, which can allow the use of extended virtual and physical memory with compatible 64-bit software, as well as Intel's Hyper-Threading technology for speedier multitasking. | A Multi-Gesture Touchpad allows you to pinch, flick and swirl your fingers across the touchpad for more natural photo and video viewing as well as intuitive navigation of websites. The Multi-Gesture Touchpad enables you to scroll, zoom in and out and flip through web pages, photos, spreadsheets and more. The TouchPad can also be disabled with a one-touch button, eliminating accidental cursor movement with palms and wrists when using an external mouse. |

My 11.6" Acer has never worked - for 7 months now April 30, 2010 Dennis A. Carlson (SoCal) I purchased the Acer 11.6" AO751h model for use while traveling. I have a total of five laptops and am a very experienced Computer user and programmer. This unit has been subject to lockups, freezing all operations randomly. It has been back to the factory, shipped at my expense, where they replaced the hard drive. That has not fixed the issue and the unit now freezes at startup and I am once again in the service que with Acer. Seven months later I still do not have a working laptop. If you search the internet you will find many such related freeze issues with this model. I strongly recommend against purchasing this product.
Great Little Netbook February 6, 2010 Gary Walker (USA) I really like this netbook. Its light and has the full resolution screen. I do find that I use a wireless mouse when I am doing Windows work. Its big enough to do real work on. The wifi works great and will latch on in most places. Make sure that you know about the slide switch on the lower left of the keyboard which turn on and off wifi. I find the screen nice, but would like a little more contrast at times. I have trouble seeing the vertical sliders of some windows apps. The battery really is 8 hours, and I don't take my charger with me on weekends--but I don't do videos.
I think its a home run. I will probably go for an iPad in a couple of months. I think its a step up, but of course at a significant uptick in price. I did opt for a Runcore SSD, which has made it a bit faster.

Not Excellent December 23, 2009 Hosni Guzman (Dominican Republic) Acer is the best netbook, but in this theya fail... the system crash frecuently. :-(
Gift December 14, 2009 C. Gullick (Baltimore MD) My 13 year old daughter purchased this netbook with her birthday money. She loves it! I think it's a liitle slow, but that's compared to my Macbook. She is able to check her emails, communicate in her social networds and surf the web. Apparently, that's all a girl needs.
Great for price, but it FREEZES! November 22, 2009 K. Lyle (CA) Love the size of the netbook... perfect. Keyboard is full-sized with the 11.6" Acer, which is a big reason I got it over the 10.1". Only problem so far (I've had it a month) is that it freezes constantly for NO reason. I'm always rebooting. Called Amazon within a week of receiving it... wanted an exchange.. and they were already unavailable from Amazon. So.. I could've sent it back for a refund but would then have had to pay more for a replacement, since I'd have had to get it from another one of their vendors. I've just hung on to it, hoping more would show up online. No such luck as of yet. I may end up sending it in to Acer (since my 30 days are nearly up) for fixing... I've heard this happens with this computer, and it's the hard drive.
Otherwise, it's a good little computer.
