A beautiful well built net book to carry to school, vacations and every where. August 6, 2010 Lisa The Lenovo Netbook is a great size beautiful netbook . It is well built and has the popular Windows 7 Starter, and also has a long battery life. My daughter loves her new netbook from Amazon.com,she takes it everywhere it's great to have when doing school work.
Fantastic Little Netbook! July 21, 2010 S. Correll I have had this little computer for about 6 months now and it was one of my best purchases ever. I love everything about it. It's big enough to be capable of everything I need it to be, and small enough I can bring it with me anywhere. It's very well built, rock solid, I have no concerns about taking it with me around the house or around town. I have been very happy with the battery life and the general speed/use of the netbook. I would recommend it to anyone!
I find it's a bit more purpley than it shows in the picture, but it kind of depends what light it's in - sometimes it looks very purple, sometimes very pink! I actually love that about it!
The one caution I would offer is the AC adapter - not on quality but as a caution not to be stupid like I was. I left my netbook plugged in at home all day while I was at the beach, and didn't notice that the box thing on the AC adapter was under a thick fuzzy sweater that I had tossed on my bedroom floor that morning. When I got home, I picked up the sweater and the AC adapter was very hot - I removed the sweater to improve ventilation but didn't unplug it. The next day the battery was low a lot sooner than usual, and when I went to charge it the AC adapter would no longer work. Gah! It's totally my fault for not ensuring it had proper ventilation (not to mention it could have started a fire had I not discovered it) so definitely not the fault of Lenovo - just thought I would add a note for others to be careful and make sure that little box has proper ventilation - don't leave it plugged in wrapped in a sweater while you go to the beach :P
However I am very happy with the customer service as well - when I called to see if by minute chance I could have gotten a free replacement under warranty, I wasn't on hold AT ALL before I was talking to a person, and a person who spoke decent english at that. They would have replaced it actually but the warranty for the AC adapter is only 90 days so I was past that. Oh well, worth a try, it was my fault anyway :P A dedicated Lenovo replacement adapter is reasonable at $35 with free shipping though which is great compared to AC adapters for many laptops. I paid $85 one time for an adapter for my HP so I'm a happy camper!
Pleased with the netbook but most of all the service was good May 8, 2010 Andrew W. Cameron (Pensacola, Florida) The computer was bought for my wife as she loves to play cards and this computer does the job. But more important then it works is that the service from Amazon was very good. The computer arrived in two days, we are both pleased.
Amazing! April 28, 2010 Ipek Ozay Before I start using Lenovo Ideapad S10-2 I would ever never expect this quality. It's more than amazing.. First of all forget about recharging your computer.Battery life is more than 6 hours. When it's not in use I put on hibernate, then battery lasts all day long. Very light, I carry everywhere with me in my small purse. Monitor a little bit small, but if you don't have vision problem it's not a big deal at all. About handling if you buy from Amazon you must expect a long waiting time. I had to buy from Amazon to be able to use Amazon card, I have waited about 3 weeks to get it, right after this I bought another regular laptop; even though I paid extra 2 day delivery fee $ 19.80, still I got it in 1 week. For the product it's strongly recommended..
LAPTOP April 25, 2010 Jack M. Wheeler (LESAGE, wv, US) THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT WITH LOTS OF FUNCTION, FAST, AND LOOKS NICE ALSO. GOOD PURCHASE
